Gurmeet Kaur is a poet, critic and essayist from London, living on Wurundjeri Country. Her work appears in Liminal, Kill Your Darlings, Cordite, Sydney Review of Books, Poetry Birmingham Literary Journal, Mascara, Peril, Suburban Review, and elsewhere.

She was Highly Commended in the 2024 Next Chapter Fellowship, a 2023 New Critic at Kill Your Darlings, and a Finalist in the 2022 Palette Poetry Chapbook Prize. Gurmeet has participated in residencies and artist development programs with Varuna, Footscray Arts Centre, Malthouse Theatre, and the City of Maribyrnong.

An International Relations and History graduate from the London School of Economics and a qualified secondary teacher, Gurmeet has worked as an educator in schools, museums, and non-profit spaces. She works across writing, art, editing, creative producing, and education.
